Zola has a special place in our hearts because it truly demonstrates the potential of collaborative efforts between a designer and artisan, both exploring the outcome as equals, as it should be. While the design and colorway were our contributions, the yarn selection was entirely our weaver partner’s. The final piece was a beautiful blend of several types and weights of natural materials like sheep wool, merino wool, raw silk and organic cotton, all working together to elevate the design. We could not be happier with how it turned out!

Variations in color and weave are traits of hand-dyed and handwoven textiles.
Our handwoven throws and shawls are our endeavor to showcase the blend of authentic, generational craftsmanship and contemporary design sensibilities. This collection is the combined effort of pastoral and weaving communities of Kutch, India, that function as an eco-system, all depending on each other for their livelihoods. Together they are the carriers of knowledge and skills that are passed down generations. We are honored to work alongside these traditional masters of craft and bring to you our beautiful, collaborative textiles.
